Liebherr, Sunderland Works

With a history reaching back many years into the shipbuilding history of Sunderland, one of the world's industrial powerhouses, this site, now occupied by crane builder Liebherr, is part of the very fabric of the City of Sunderland.

With a new perspective, the buildings and products of Liebherr Sunderland Works can be seen in a different way through the lens of light, shadow, shape and form which emphasises its most basic elements, captured for a brief moment, which becomes a timeless  record of the city's industrial heritage.
